S.D well known taper, mainly N.O but also anything around the Birmingham area which is close to where he was living during the mid eighties.Dropped out of the taping/trading scene late eighties with lots of people looking for him!!
He was using a Sony Pro wmdc6, mics unknown although very good. The setlist was fairly standard for this period. The sound is what you'd expect for eqipment of this quality, well balanced and clear, very little has been changed from the original tape, i've just removed a small amount of hiss, S.D was very keen on high speed dubbing and never hid the fact, that was always a bone of contention between us but if you received tapes from this trader then rest assured they were copied at X2 or X4....shame but that's the simple truth.
Gig ends abruptly after Knockin' on Heavens door, obviously there's a fight because the compare starts
talking about the fact that the football ground is next-door or maybe he's just arranging a quick 5 a side tournament but i don't think so.

Another concert from the Optimus Alive 2012, and this one was surely the highlight of the day. Only the Kills to keep the attention level up at the late hours that the concert was scheduled. Huge thanks to ziggyswoon for sharing his recording. Excellent sound.
Original Info File:
10 minutes to 2 o'clock in the morning The Kills ignited the stage for one hour. What a show!! They were afraid playing at that hour but the tent was packed and ready for them.
It was a perfect moment of comunion between band and audience. During Last Goodbye the song kicks off to soon be stoped by Alison because she spoted a a guy in front row knocked out. They stoped until it was said that everything was ok and he had been taken to medical care. Then she dedicated the song to him and the gig went on.
The band was on fire alongside with the crowd. Without a doubt one of the best live shows i have seen in all my life. Loved it loved it loved it.

This is the version of the band with Valor and nor Rozz Williams. Sounds a little rough but quite listenable, and CD bootlegs don't seem to be circulating a lot. I had to redo the tracking, since it was originally very messy. Huge Thanks to sam1 for sending me this recording to share here..

Excellent work compiling this entire concert from three sources by amoral. Huge Thanks for sharing it on Dime.
Original Info File:
The full concert compiled from 3 radio broadcast CDRs:
2 CDRs of Westwood One radio station, 1 CDR of Premiere Radio Networks
Radio broadcast CDRs are burned for radio DJs.
They contain full radio programs to be broadcasted - live show + DJ comments on a band/show + commercials.
I'm not sure that more than one copy of each broadcast CDR exists. I've bought them on ebay.

Thanks to Creatured for sharing these demos on Dime.
Õriginal Info File:
1-4 April 1981 Demos Program Studio, L.A.
5-11 Jan & Feb 1983 Blank Tapes Studio, N.Y.C. Death Party Demos
Obtained these in different trades.
cdr trades > EAC > Audacity > TLH > Flac8
The 1981 demos are also on "Sexbeat81" LP bootleg, could be the source here, but these are not on the "Early Warning" box set.
The Death Party demos sound like they are vinyl sourced as I heard skippage and some pops here and there. I cant believe they weren't included with the new Death Party CD release, they included the March 20,1983 Zurich FM broadcast, which was a great recording before they did what they did and released it,sounds really good now. Go buy it and the other new CD releases as they all have extras, mostly live recordings that have made the rounds, but the Mother Juno release has alternate versions(The Berlin Tapes) of that LP, which are good too. I liek hearing alt takes on songs, the making of. Maybe the JLP family that are releasing these CD's dont have the Death Party demos, who knows, I guess they have them now.
-Las Vegas Story has the Nov.20,1984 Straussburg recording on it.
-Miami- 1982 Buffalo, I believe this is the same as the "Early Warning" Buffalo recording. Video may exist of this show too
-Mother Juno- 2cd release has "The Berlin Tapes" different versions of the songs that make up the LP.
-Larger Than Live!- not sure where or when this recording is from, but sounds like 1990's era
-Death Party- March 20,1983 Zurich (which also was on Dime at one time)

Info: David Bowie played an exclusive gig for less than 200 people in London - and filmed the show for his young daughter. The 55-year-old performed the special gig at the BBC's Maida Vale studios in west London, which was recorded for a Radio 2 special to be broadcast next month. He performed the track Bewlay Brothers - from his 1971 album Hunky Dory - live for the first time, but had to use lyric sheets to keep up, because, he said, "there are more words in this than War and Peace". Bowie used a hand-held camera to capture parts of the show for his two-year-old daughter Alexandria back home with his wife Iman in New York. "This is just to show my daughter exactly what sort of person I associate with," he said, focusing his lens on the fans. Of the 10 songs he played, most came from his recent Heathen album. But he also played Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's Alabama Song - which was a single in 1980 - and Look Back in Anger from the Lodger album. He also played 1974 single Rebel Rebel, telling the audience: "This is one that I said I'd never play again - and true to my track record, here it comes." The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2 on 5 October.

After finally laying Ministry to rest a couple of years ago Al is back. The venue had been changed from the larger Academy to the Academy 2 but we still had an intense show with video projections throughout. The main set was all newish material but they really got going with the encores and I don't remember ever hearing a Stormtroopers Of Death cover before.

The moment you were all waiting for, TSOM concert from last weekend, with special guest Lisa Cuthbert, who sang Backing vocals in some songs and did a solo version of This Corrosion on the piano. This new (old?) versions of Dominion and Temple Of Love (reminding the late Ofra Haza) are quite refreshing and in a way make up for the lack of new material from the band. A special round of applause to Cyberbio for sending me the recording to premiere here on DCR, you're the best :) Excellent sound in my opinion.
